Cellular Healing Floating Morning Glory Glory (with Patches)

There will always be something about the immense beauty and thrill of floral architecture that heals, inspires, calms, excites, and literally just makes things better when you see it. It sounds cliche but Nature truly is the Universe’s most accomplished artist.

My morning glories pale in comparison to those in the real world but I can honestly say that each time I see a morning glory I am absolutely inspired to draw several out on my paper and fill them in with my own kaleidoscope of colors that soothe and comfort me.

The morning glory flower symbolizes various spiritual concepts including love, affection, spiritual enlightenment, and the fleeting nature of beauty and life. Its one-day bloom cycle serves as a reminder to appreciate each moment and embrace new beginnings. In different cultures, it also represents hope, purity, and even resurrection.

Every flower I draw and paint is a tribute to my parents, both of whom were avid gardners and who tended to each plant with loving attentiveness and extreme care. My father always said “Wherever you go, you’ve got to plant a few flowers.” I’ve added the idea of medicinal patches to this piece (these appear in some of my Leaf Glow artworks) as a nod to the idea of patching our wounds up. Flowers certainly can be a patch in that regard for most of us.
