Inspired by Nature: Wild Grape Vine Leaf
Cellular Healing Big Red Leaf | 30 x 30 Framed | Embellished Giclee
I have always loved leaves. Their architecture amazes me, thrills me, soothes me, and inspires me.
This artwork reimagines the intricate form of a real wild grape leaf — a common yet extraordinary vine native to the Midwest. I found this leaf in the driveway at Blue Moon Gallery where there was a tangly wild grape vine growing on the old rickety green fence there. In my version, the leaf’s natural rhythm of veins and serrated edges becomes a map of color and movement, celebrating the vibrancy and resilience found in even the most mundane and familiar corners of nature.
Imagined cellular details pulse within the larger-than-life structure, creating an eye-popping visual that merges natural form with vibrant abstraction. I see this piece as a blend of nature's inspiration, microscopic imagination, and bold visual energy.
Everyone needs a red leaf.
